I would’ve expected myself to go, too.
But candy got in the way.

Oh yes, you’re the mostpopular guy in school - that’s why I keep getting in trouble for talking to you.

✖— “Yup.. That’s exactly why. Besides, if you get in trouble for talking to me, Sophie, why do it?”
Amanda laughed, watching him look at her. “Nature is making noise, deep note right there.” Examaning his face for the last time, she squinted. “I recognize you, defiantly recognize you.” The redhead swam closer, her tail almost brushing the shore.
He smiled again when he heard her laugh, glad that she had finally stopped acting so unfriendly. He wasn’t here to cause trouble. Not for the most part, anyways. “Nature’s always making noise. It’s alive, right?” He quirked a brunette eyebrow at her as she swam closer, shifting slightly to get a bit more comfortable. “Well we do go to the same academy, you know, so you’ve probably seen me before. Maybe.”
Is that a compliment? I’ll take it as a compliment. You’re not so bad yourself when you’re not hooked on your video games.

✖— “What are you talking about? I’m amazing even when I’m around video games. That’s why I’m so popular.”
I know, your point was that we actually do have things in common. I’m sure if we looked hard enough, we’d find more.

✖— “Exactly. Because you’re actually not that bad to be around. You’re pretty pleasant when you’re not acting like a bitch.”
I think everyone has that in common.

✖— “True. But.. That is not the point I was trying to make.”
